Born in Liverpool but have now made Surrey my home. I live with my young
daughter Molly…my constant inspiration, and our cat ‘Jelli’ who seems to think
I should be drawing mice all the time.

I specialise in Children’s Book illustration including educational and special needs work. I recently completed ‘Little Ballet Star’ the sequel to my picture book ‘The Ballet Class’ written by Adele Geras (Orchard Books); ‘Alice in Wonderland’ for Parragon Press; and ‘The Perfect Pony’ being published in the spring of 2007 in New York (Penguin Dial Books)

I am passionate about drawing and painting, always having a sketch book in my pocket to capture the moment. These include sketching behind the scenes at Wimbledon Theatre and a local Equestrian Centre and surrounding countryside.

I am happiest when surrounded by children in their own little worlds, sketching them just being themselves, never spending more than seconds on catching the pose or scenario. Returning to the peace and quiet of my studio to draw and paint where I develop the characters to fit a specific brief.
